It's been four long years but thinking about it now seems like yesterday I was moving into the UWSP dorms in 2005. Anyhow, I'll be spending my Saturday afternoon graduating from college.

However, Friday and Saturday nights will be spent reminiscing the past four years in what better place, downtown Stevens Point in the Square. Perhaps I'll sneak out Sunday afternoon for some marble eyes, dying to wet the new rig!

I'll drop Nik off at school shortly after 8 then Dane and I are heading to Pineview to try out his new muskie combo. We'll see what we can scare up before we have to pick Nik back up after his dose of book-learnin'. Saturday and Sunday are work days for me. That just means I'll get a couple weekdays off later....

Thanks Dave! Yeah, it's a little bittersweet having to think I'm not going to be here next year, oh well. Another year from now almost all of my friends will be gone anyhow, so why drag it out any longer when I don't have to.

As for league, are you kidding? Mean Gene and Jeff P. are still in so that means Billy D and I have our partners and the full Shamrock crew, you can bet your a*s we'll be fishing. Afterall, anyone ever three pete in the Rhinelander league? Who cares I guess, we'll just have to be the first if not, hehe.

Driving 2.5 hours to pick up my new Terrova...found a brand new clearanced 101/US2 with a 54" shaft for $770, and I might still get the $100 rebate! Nothing like finding a trolling motor half price!

Can't wait for next weekend! Northern Wisconsin opener! I'm going to pound the snot out of some 30"ers and get my yearly total on the right track!

Was going to the "Cave" but reports say it's 11' above summer pool and muddy. Will probably be fishing the same pool that Me & Mikie fished on the Kanawha River here in W.Va, if the water clears up just a little more. If not then probably hit the Gauley River . Good luck to all and good fishing.

Well, I'm back in Wisconsin for a few days but no fishing. I'll be drinking free beer at the same wedding Mr. Swenson is attending.

I already started the weekend yesterday as far as fishing goes, I have to work late tonight doing a DJ gig so tomorrow is out of the question but I might be hitting the Madison chain on sunday depending on the weather. We boated a few muskies yesterday but it was tough, I was fighting 20+ MPH winds all day on the lake, fished for 13 hours straight and managed to boat two fish, I got a 39.5 and my friend Brad got a new personal best of 38, his pervious personal best was just 35 so he was happy, we had a fun time regardless of the winds and conditions, bluebird skies are usually pretty tough, well hope everyone has a good weekend and catch a lunge for me

Well, I thought I'd be bassin with 199 other boats in Sturgeon Bay this morning but the US Coast Guard shut us down for the first day. They expect 40 MPH Plus (Gale Force) winds (10-12 footers) and figured they didn't have enough rescue boats to handle the task. I will say, however that during the practice days this week, I saw some monster skis (and I mean big) openly cruising the shallows. Seeing 50 inch fish strolling around in 2 feet of water really makes a musky man's heart get a'thumppin. I am definitely coming back here after the Northern opener to nail one of those beauties. I got out yesterday for a donated guide job for MD. We saw only four muskies and no strikes.......I SUCK!
I'm fishing with my fishing machine daughter in a Fundraising Tournament on Sunday on Pewaukee for Wisconsin Lutheran High School. Which always is fun with a good benefit for the Science Department.
I'm glad I'm not out there today as the wind is forcast out of the NW at 20-30+ mph. Pewaukee will be rockin' and rollin' today!

I spent the morning on Okauchee. It was pretty windy, but I moved 3 muskies. I certainly had my chances. The first fish hit a 7" Suick, but I lost it when it straightened out one of the factory hooks. That fish was probably about 40". I missed another fish that hit a 6" Jake, but I don't think it was very big. I never got a good look at it because it struck after the first few twiches. The third fish followed in a 6" Jake with it's nose on the bait, but with the wind and trying to control the boat I had a hard time executing a proper figure 8. All in all it was a good morning on the water.

I replaced the Suick hooks with the hooks from a Baby Shallowraider. Does anyone have any advice for replacement hooks on at 7" Suick. The hooks that came with the lure seem a bit too flimsy as much experience proved today.

Haven't checked water temp, no babies yet that I have seen, before this cold front, eyes were hittin on most area lakes.
Walked out on the pier tonight and was almost blown off into the water, wind is raw and strong.
