| I was out bass fishing this weekend and got blown into the shallows. I looked over the side of the boat and there were 2 muskies right next to the boat. I literally could have reached over the side and touched them. They were swimming along basically touching each other, and one appeared to have some injuries around the dorsal fin (a female?). The water temp is around 60 deg. Could these fish still be spawning, or are they just going through the motions? I though spawning temp was lower than than.
Anyway I had to run back to the vehicle and get my muskie rig. Got a huge chomp on a Bucher Slopmaster right where the muskies were at. Heart was pounding, but it was ONLY a 20" largemouth. Have to be satisfied with the biggest bass I have ever caught! | |

| Water temps have been up and down this spring - muskies will definately continue to spawn when surface temps are in the low 60's - seen it many times. I would say yes to your question - I'm sure a few fish are still going through the motions | |
