After switching from a full size truck to a mid size SUV this year, I noticed my hitch was about 3-4" higher than it was with my full size. I was prepared to purchase a bigger drop reciever but decided to see how it towed. I was suprised that it was almost close to level, with only a hint of an up angle. Is there any disadvantage to this, or safety issues I should be concerned with? It acually seemed to follow better at highway speeds behind my SUV. No wobble at all...

Hiya,

if the trailer is not level, all it is doing is shifting the center of gravity toward the rear of the trailer/rig. So long as the center of gravity is in front of the trailer wheels, it will probably track pretty well. Probably wouldn't hurt to find a drop that gets it level as possible, although I don't think you have much to worry about. If it is pretty close to level, I'd bet you are fine.
