I'll be in eagle river with the family in early June.
Just wondering if their are any must do/see "kid attractions" or fun experiences for the kids within 30 mins. or so of Eagle River.
Kids are 5, 3 & 3 mos.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

down town there are some shops that make fudge for you, that might be entertaining for a while otherwise.... a boat ride on the chain is always a good option. there is lots of wildlife so just keep your eyes peeled.

Not that it's a must see, but the kids like visiting the Children's Museum. It's near Heckle's old shop right in Eagle River....nice to schedule on a rain day. Kids can burn a few hours in here, I get bored in 15 minutes.

Head west of town to Minocqua and visit Peck's Zoo. Critters all over to pet and feed and you will even see muskie sunning themselves in the pond. Save some small scraps to throw them.....sometimes they smash it and it's fun entertainment. I live just north of Rhinelander and yearly we make the trips to Peck's.....kids love it and you should schedule 3-6 hours of visit time.

Woodruff/Minocqua also as the lumberjack shows. Your 5 year old will enjoy this also maybe your 3 year old. Nice adult beverages sold here also....

As always, miniature golfing, horseback riding and go karts can be entertaining but not must sees unless the panfishing shutdowns.

Good luck and have fun in the north woods!
