Location: Delavan, WI | My lowrance unit occasionally loses the GPS signal
it will flash position lost then position acquired- back and forth usually after its been on for a couple of hours , but lately its been doin it a lot more
I installed the 2.4 update and did the soft restart as per lowrance and problem has gotten even worse- the antenna(GPS module) is mounted behind the windshield, but it still had this issue when it was out in the open as I had it in a different place-I think the problem may likely be the antenna itself or the cable from antenna to unit Im just not sure which is more likely to fail??? | |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | I would suggest trying another gps puck and see if that helps. The gps pucks have a crystal inside of them and if they get damaged, which happens quite often, this is one of the issues you'll face. Otherwise, make sure your connections are nice and tight.
I know you said you've had it inside and outside of the windshield, but I'd definitely have it on the outside no matter what, that way if the windshield is making a difference, you'll know the problem isn't because the puck is in the inside.

| If it's getting worse over time, your puck is likely failing. I had the same problem. | |
