Motors are really baffling me. Who makes the best motor they all seem to be within $400 or so.

I am between Honda 90efi 4 Stoke, Yamaha 90 4 stroke and Evinrude 90 E-tec.

Location: The desert		I will say this about Honda....We just recently got one of out boats back from "The Boat Dude". He had the boat since roughly last June. Our Honda 50 had some problem in it and there are ZERO Honda Dealers/Mechanics in this part of the world, at least within reasonable driving distances. So my caution would be that some of the bigger motor companies may have more service/mechanics in places that may not have Honda mechanics. Just another thing to think about. If something goes wrong with a Merc or Yamaha in a less populated area, you'll have a better shot at a mechanic that can fix them as opposed to someone who can fix a Honda.

Location: MN		As you, I am in the market for a new engine, 60hp tiller. From doing research and speaking with dealers, most dealers whom I have spoken recommended Yamaha or Suzuki for the four stroke class. I will most likely be picking up a Yamaha.

Yamaha or Suzuki Hand Down! IMO! Your best bet is to ask your dealer that sells these brands and ask him what outboard has the least problems and go from there.
