Does the Chip turn over?
Yes and no (I hate that kind of answer!)
The Chip has some large areas of water that are too shallow to turn. Also, the areas near the rivers, where the current is strongest, don't turn due to the current mixing the water.
In the deeper basins of the Chip and the natural lakes, there is a turnover. It occurs between the last couple weeks of September and the first couple weeks of October, depending on how cold the weather has been.
Overall, the Chip is not as affected by turnover as a large, natural lake, such as Grindstone.

| Dave made a great "Pro's" post. Only thing I would add that is to treat the Chip as several different bodies of water within one boundry. There is ALWAYS one type of area of the lake or another that is "going". Find a pattern and then apply it in other similar areas.
