Anyone know how to tell if you have a wood or plastic phantom? Would like to know before I try to take the paint off of them?

Drill a small hole and look at the shavings. Be careful not to damage any internal hardware. Repair the hole with epoxy glue.

I believe you can look at the belly and see the outline of the weight in wooden phantoms.
