| Ok I come to the place where answers are endless. I just picked up a Hummingbird Matrix 65 for my boat from my neighbor. He just upgraded to a new Hummingbird side imaging unit and just pulled this out of his Crestliner. I hooked everything up and turned the unit on. It all powered up just fine but comes up GPS unconnected. All cord are connected but for some reason the unit isn't locating the GPS. Anyone with any ideas? Plugs are all tight. Does the unit need to be out in the open air rather then in my garage? The manual for my calculator is more detailed with more info than the one that came with the Matrix. I've searched on Hummingbirds web page but didn't get anything there either. So before I give them a call I thought I would ask those that may have had similar problems. Thanks for any info you can give. |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | You definitely need to get that boat outside. If everything is hooked up right, it's gotta be that your in the garage, Pretty hard to connect to satellites in a garage. |

| Still not working but I got to thinking about what you said and came to the conclusion that my cell phone hooks up to satellites from anywhere so could that be true????? |

| Some GPSs go out while going under a bridge, some wont work well if its under the counsole. Try it outside if you haven't,
What EXACTLY does the unit say? GPS module not responding? GPS Antenna not detected? GPS not connected?
It might help knowing exactly what it says. |
