I saw Larry Dahlberg using a soft plasic swimbait on his show. He was using it on a musky show as well as a peacock bass episode. Looked similar to a bango minnow (could have been?)- one single hook up near the nose of the bait. Had great action at high speeds. Anybody know what kind of bait this is?

Last year he did a show on how he made Mr Wiggley. That dude's pretty hardcore when he wants a bait to do a certain thing. Mr Wiggley's got some good moves for sure though.

Two items of interest to me: First there is only a single treble and second the line/leader passes thru the lure to the treble without being conventionally attached to the soft plastic, although I suspect that one could bury one of the hooks in the bottom of the lure. I do not recall the width of the lure or whether the soft plastic is thicker at the top than the bottom. Mr. Wiggly certainly has lots of action without much weight and may not be duplicated by commercially-available lures.

Making rubber/plastisol lures is real easy and fun. If anyone wants some pointers I am happy to write up a short description on how with pictrues. I make most of my molds from plaster of paris, Vaseline, and a cardboard box. Its real easy and fun to do. I doubt you will save any money by the time you buy the palstisol, pigments, paint ext but again, its fun and you can make soem wild stuff with your kids
