| I am hoping maybe Steve can help me out here since he is the expert of the Wabigoon system, or if anyone else has been here I would love to get your 2 cents.
I am thinking of heading up to this lodge this July, could anyone give me the scoop on this body of water and how it differs from Wabigoon. Also how is this resort, and are they helpful and friendly? Thanks! |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Good folks at the resort, and great water a short ride from Camp. I'd fish west of the camp myself into the eastern portions of the Goon, I like the structural elements on the Goon a bit better than Dinorwic. Any weeds you find...fish. Rock reefs and islands with any weed growth at all are also targets. |

| Thanks Steve. From what it looks, I would get more of the "shield lake" feel by staying on Dinorwic. One of the guys that might go with us has never been to Canada so I was wanting him to kinda get that kind of an impression being more away from Dryden. Is there a musky population and size difference in the two areas? I usually fish trout water, so action isn't that important, just the chance to land a lunker. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Muskies are all over the system, so just hunt up the good complexes and current breaks, and you'll find some. The Pike are traditionally larger on Dinorwic, probably because they get less harvest pressure. If you stay to the N/NE right out of the narrows( look at the map) and fish all the islands and shoreline weeds along the way, you will do well. |

| Thanks again Steve. It looks like we're heading to Brown Bay Camp for the week of July 11-18 since Pine Sunset Lodge was booked our week. Can't wait. |
