I have one now my wife bought from Sportsmans and now we can't return or exchange it. . . It's a 4601 narrow spool round baitcaster. Sweet little reel and super light for its strength. Only an $80 reel or so, too. Probably sell it on Ebay...UNLESS someone wants it - Hmmm... |

Location: Indiana | There are a bunch of options, but you gotta search a bit. Most of the big name reels are available in both. And if a new reel comes out in just the right handed model, usually the left hand model comes out the following year (Curado DSV).
Personally, I fish with Abu 6601 C4's. I have a few that are the same...their easy to take apart, you can get parts online, and if you have two reels with you, you never have to worry about not having a reel at the end of the day...you can snag parts from one reel for the other in case of emergency.
They do require maintenance though to keep them running. |

| I have an Abu Garcia Toro coming for this year. Sure hope that low profile reel has the dependability of the other reels on the market. I am getting the 61.

| There are several left handed reals on the market. I've used the Shimano Curado 301, Shimano Calcutta 401 TE, Shimano Cardiff 401 and 301, Garcia 6501, and Garcia 5601. I'm using the Curado and Calcutta now and really like them both. I plan on trying the new Garcia Revo Toro 61HS sometime this summer.
BTW, I used a Shimano Trinidad 16N last year for Cowgirls. It's a right handed reel. after the first trip using the Trinidad, reeling right handed became natural after reeling left handed my entire life.
