| I'm buying a new boat and having a 24 V system put in, and wondering about the different Shaft sizes on the TM. What's the advantage of the different sizes? I'm getting a 71 lb on a 16' Mod V. What would be your recommendations? Thanks. |

Location: Elk River, Minnesota | 54" shaft should be fine.... I have a larger boat than that with a 54 inch and only on really bad days will the prop come out. If that is the case, I have a kicker going in the back to help keep me on the spot...

Location: Kodiak, AK | That's not a huge boat, so depending on the water you fish, you could probably almost get by with a 48" shaft, but a 54" would be plenty. I almost think a 60" would be a tough fit across the bow without taking up too much space. |

| Get the longest shaft you can that will sit comfortably on the bow of your boat -- you'll be happy you did! |

Location: Davenport, IA | 36" would be enough on a mod-v. I have a 54" on my glass bass boat (similar height, maybe taller) and its waaay too much. Unfortunetely, it is the shortest v2 70 lb you can buy. Should have gone with a maxxum. |
