If you could for just one day out of the year, talk with the big man upstairs, and put in your own weather forecast for ANY GIVEN DAY....when would it be, and what would the weather be like?
Personally, give me about the third or fourth weekend in March....about 32 degrees getting on the water, clouds not heavy....temps rise slightly to 38 by 10AM, start to hold steady as the WEATHER rolls in....light rain....temp starts droppin about 3 degrees....becomes light SNOW....the REAL WEATHER rolls in, and I'm fishing in a snow storm (just a light wind, no microbursts for you to deal with this time Boro). Since I did pick this day according to the MOON Chart, the pigs are in a feeding frenzy with this fast moving barometer. I start the day my usual ZERO, and end it a hero....

Mid November (opening weekend of gun deer season so I would have the lake to myself)

The morning starting out at around 38 degres and warming to the upper 40's

South west wind to 10mph

Light clouds turning to heavy clouds in the afternoon with snow showers tonight.

Give me a baitwell full of suckers and Im set![:)] [:)]

I'm with Billy on this one...and while he's watching the bobber and waiting for the bait clicker on the reel to sing him a song I'll be working larger glide/jerk baits to compliment the suckers....

Second to that would be:

One day before new moon phase...
3 days of warmer stable weather prior to this day....
Storm front arriving about 8pm from West/South West....
Barameter is doing the "funky giggle" starting around 2 in the afternoon and starts dropping like a stone a few hours later...
Leave work at Noon on the lake by 2:30...
Wind from SW 8-12 occassionally gusting 15...
5:30pm 2 fish boated, 2 blow ups and a missed hookset...
Pontoon boat full of Leinie's Ladies passes by...
6:30pm..thunder "muskie music" in the far distance...
6:45pm...a 51" fatty slams my burned Tinsel Tail...
7:15pm...partner boats a 481/2 on topwater...
7:45pm...I boat another 50" class fish on a "turd"...
8:03pm...lightning visible in the distance...

Fire up 1760 Tuffy with Optimax and cruise in the upper 40's back to the boat launch....

8:45...eat'n a burger and have'n a cold Leinie's and celebrating the day.....
8:47...Leinie's Ladies from pontoon walk in to same bar/grill...

Hey Slamr....you said I could have the "Genie in a Bottle" kind of day.....[:p] [;)]

A nice SW wind about 10mph on a partly cloudy day in July in Canada.

Prefront
7pm a night
mid lake reef

Pitching topwaters, popping the chop with a the ski's rushing the baits with there backs out of the water....

Just does not get any better then that.
