| has any one fished the turtle flambeau flowage in wisconsin for muskies?
i am think about renting a cabin there for a week and need some info about the fishing there! please help  |

Location: Northern Wisconsin | if u did a search you'd come up with alot. i was supposed to fish there but got up in the area and decided to fish some of the numerous smaller lakes in the area. |

Location: Smith Creek | It can be really tough. Not alot of fish per acre and hazardous to navigate. I would call Brian Long. He is THE guide on the Flowage. There's some real pigs to be had in there. FIND THE WEEDS! |

| You cant go wrong with getting in the boat with Brian Long...he knows the TFF really well....If your considering going out by yourself and you have Gps with the navionics lake map chip...Then just keep an eye on the map when navigating...The Tff can be hazardous to navigate on but keeping an eye on the map will save u lots of trouble...It is pretty accurate....Ive been fishing the flowage for years and have only hit one thing there....Keep your eyes peeled for floaters though!!!
As far as the fishing, the musky density is fairly low but there are some absolute tankers in there....Get yourself a good map and start disecting spots...There is alot of water up there and also alot of useless areas for muskies...Do some homework with a map and save yourself alot of time casting bad areas....
Hot colors have worked well up there....blades, glide baits, and suicks are a few of my go to's for the tff..... |
