| Was in the local tackle shop today, Huge place lots of salt water stuff, (Corpus Christi, Texas) they had a Garcia 5500 and they also had what the counter guy said was a Garcia 5500 made in Sweden lot more money. What's the deal. |

| The regular 5500 was $84.00 and the one from sweden was $139.00 he said they order them from Sweden once a year. They were real shiny and looked like they were machined better. |

I'll check tommorow and see if they had a name other than 5500. |

| All 5500C's are and have always ben made in Sweden. What he is probably talking about is a 5500 of of Abu's "international Collesction" that are only ordered once a year. These are generally the fancier models like the chrom rockets, CS Mags, etc. But the 5500C3 he has is also made in Sweden. |

Location: Minnesota | I have a new EXT that say made in Korea, I thought the last 5500 and 6500 I bought last year said made in China. Not sure if they are assembled there or to what extent they are "made" there. |

| If it is a 4,5, or 6 size classic round reel it is made in Sweden. The EXT BCX, ect. are not "classic" styled reels. |
