Are temps still low? Never fished it before and dont know what is typically for early season!

You should contact Daryl Baker at midwest guide service he will tell you what is up and probably point you in the right direction seen him at a number of seminars and he passes out maps and tells you where to fish for which species along with his number.

The water level is okay compared to last year. It seems pretty normal, although maybe a tad high. The water temps as of Saturday were 44-45 or so for the most part on the northern lakes. Water color is pretty good for the chain in spring too.

The afternoons seem better, although we've been moving fish early on. Biters seem to be from 11am on.

Yeah they are upper 40's- A little warmer on some shallow lakes (Spring, Pistakee, etc)

They were getting into the 50s but that recent cold snap brought them back down. The warm front came into today, but I actually think that will make fishing tough down here.
