Does anyone recommend a certain brand of 50 amp circuit breaker for a 24V system or do they all perform the same?

Thanks

There are several types out there:
Manual reset breakers: Cabelas sells a 50 amp and a new 60 amp breaker.
They cost about $40.

Auto reset breakers: Actually mount on the battery terminal. Cost around $8 .

I use an auto reset 50 amp breaker and have not had any issues with it.
The new 60 amp manual from Cabelas looks nice though.

The key is to mount the breaker as close to the terminal as possible.
