that's a common saltwater charter boat deal: they display one flag for each kind of fish boated on a given day (not one per fish). the colors are standardized, so it's a way to communicate with other boats at a distance about what they caught.
that could be a cool tradition in your boat: whoever catches the first muskie of the day gets to raise the muskie flag...

This is an idea I came up with a long time ago. (Not claiming to be the only one) I just havent acted on it. Pondering if it could and would catch on in the muskie world after having seen it on salt water in the Carribean. Yeah would be cool to be the one to be able to claim bragging rights and fly the flag.
Hey Jimtenhaaf, what did you search on ebay to find them? I ran various searches but could only find salt water catch flags for a variety of species.
