| 100 pound is to light, you'll have problems at some point down the line.
Also what flouro are you going to use?

| I've used 100 climax fluoro, nail knotted and zap a gapped, 0 problems. am going to jump up to 130 fluoro for a little more piece of mind. climax works for me but not sure if they make 130 or not. Tom |

| Double barrel sleaves from Offshore Angler (bass pro). They are black in color and there is a little chart for what mm your floro is to what size sleeve you need. I have never and I mean never had one of these pull out on me. I have broken every other component (except for my sampo ball bearings) from my rod to the lure. Get yourself a good compound crimper and have at it. |

Location: Wausau, WI | I buy my crimps from Thorne Bros. They are the Mason Double Connector Sleeves. I haven't had a problem with them yet. |

| Mini Double sleeves 100 per pk. Out of offshore angler 1800-227-7776
size line mm-----mono lb test------price---------item #
-----1--------------80--------------4.49--------65-400-067-00
----1.3------------125-------------5.49--------65-400-068-00
----1.6------------200-------------6.79---------65-400-069-00
Check to see what diameter it actually says on your floro. If it is in between I would buy a package of both above and below, and see which one fits better.

| Jay, I agree with the advice given by 'Guest' - use 130# or heavier. I know there's someone thinking, "well, there can't be much difference between 130# and 100#." The next question would consider the difference between 100# and 80#. The point is this: yes, the difference between each aren't huge - but you have to draw the line somewhere. I draw the line right under 130# and only use 130# or greater. |

| I use a Nail knot and Superglue. I've always been worried about crimps weakening the fluoro. I also whip finish and glue the tag end. |

Location: MN | Only two that you can use - oval or double barrel. I use the Mason double barrel from Thornes. |
