Hi folks. Would someone please provide some info, on the line capacity of these two size spools using 100 lb Cortland Bronzeback, and 80 lb Cortland Spectron.
Taking into consideration a little bit of mono for backing.
From my understanding the 250/200 yds, capacity, listed for the 60 HS & 50 HS is really based on mono line, as is all reels. I'm using them for casting only and I'm concerned about the amount of line on the spool after the cast. If the capacity isn't much of a difference between the two I may buy the smaller model cause of the size of my hands. However, if it is alot of a difference I can still use the 60.

Last year I used a Calcutta 700B on the Slingblade, but find the reel is too big and some what uncomfortable for the size of my hands. The rod I love. Thinking the Revo Toro may be the perfect fit. Your help is much appreciated. Al. Ontario, Canada.

I can't give you exact line capacities using the line you are asking about but if it helps the Toro 50 has the same size spool as a 5500C3 and the Toro60 has the same spool capacity of the 6500C3.

Mnay people are going to smaller reels with super line but I still like a 6 size reel so that the spool still has a good diameter on it for retrieving. Even the Toro60 feels much smaller in the hand than a round reel.

I agree with Reelman Allen, go with the 60.
I bought two 60's and am going to throw one on a slingblade as well.
I loaded them both with 80# Bronzeback, I think 100# would be overkill on that reel. IMHO.
We'll see how Mr. Toro handles the DCG's!!

Thanks Reelman, I've got the reels you mention so your info, helps big time.

Joe, thankyou, your info, also helps alot. I agree about the line, I'll go with the 80#. The reel will be the 60 5.4:1 for the dble, 10's and the 60 HS 6.4:1 for gliders/jerkbaits Al.

Just got a Revo 60 - 5:4:1 and got on 130 yds of Spiderwire Stealth 80lb. Used tape instead of mono for backing. Hope this helps.
