| Hi Guys, anyone have any experience with a Humminbird 931C? my main issues are around the GPS capabilities, when using this unit with GPS can you store waypoints and routes etc on the unit? if so how many? also general opinions on the unit welcomed
Thanks in advance. |

| the 931c is an older unit that was designed to be used mainly as a widescreen sonar with limited optional GPS capability. when using it with GPS features it can be used as a trackplotter only. the 937 is the version with full GPS features.
here's a link to the manual:
http://www.humminbird.com/PDF/931-937%20Manual.pdf
look on page 40ff for information about the GPS features.

Location: Davenport, IA | If you haven't used a Humminbird GPS/fishfinder you will be in for a treat. They're easy to use and I have not seen many problems with them for the number I've sold. They have been much more reliable and much easier to use than some of their competitors. |

| I just thought this might help...
Two weeks ago Cabelas had the Humminbird 595C fishfinder/gps in their bargain cave for $350 bucks. It's color and navionics compatible...looks pretty sharp. With shipping and sales tax, that came to $392 bucks.
There were quite a few on ebay for a lot cheaper though. I got one for $333 with shipping (and no sales tax).
Just so you know, the ones on ebay are mostly "factory refurbished" with a 90 day factory warranty rather than a year. However, as this is a discontinued line, I'm pretty sure Humminbird sold all their remaining inventory to outlets and marked them as refurbished so they didn't have to cover the longer warranty. That's pretty common. And that's also why there are quite a few on ebay right now at that same price.
I got mine and it was factory packed and unopened....just had a sticker that said "90 day warranty" It had all components and manuals. Got it installed yesterday and works like it should. For all you bargain hunters looking for a good deal on a nice gps/fishfinder, check it out! |

| i did some similar deal-searching as what Halfpint describes.
i went to the Humminbird site and bought a "legacy" unit, getting a current model gps/sonar with full warranty that was just pre-loaded with the older 2007 Navionics maps and didn't have a transducer. the '07 mapset included Hi-Def versions of the lakes i fish the most anyway (and i can use a card for the '09 updates), plus i got a much larger unit for the same price of the size i ran last year. i added a thru-hull transducer and made a real step up while saving a TON of money at the same time.
