| I was out on Pewaukee this morning for a few hours when I raise a nice fish. I drop to one knee and begin to do a deep figure "8" , the fish follows around for 6 or so turns and slowly disappears. I stand back up and start casting again when a boat that was driving by stops and motor's over to me and ask's if I just had a follow. I say "yes" and he drops his trolling motor in the water, switches to a firetiger bait (the color that I was using) and starts casting along side of me about 15 yards away.
Man that takes balls![:(] [:(] [:(] |

| Just an other ETHICS situation that muskie anglers have to deal with. Muskie fishing is growning in leaps and bounds and there are few folks teaching these anglers the ethics of muskie fishing.
The problem is....if you would have said..."Do you mind". He would have called you a butt-head. You cant win, you can only hope that these folks will at some time fish with a considerate angler and learn the true ethics of muskie fishing.
Maybe Smokey's Muskie Shop should have a sign....with the ethics of muskie fishing on it. [;)] |

| Bill he could have anchored his baot and got in yours! Some people just don't get it and I am sure before the year is up I will nail a boat with my lure. |

|
| Next time say "no, my bait was hung up...would you mind stripping + diving in to free it?" If he says ok you'll have to figure out what to do next.....[:sun:] |

| Heaven Helps Us They're Everywhere![:(] It's this kind of behavior that leads to road rage on the highways. Sooner or later we'll pick up the paper or turn on the news and hear a story about some fisherman shooting another fisherman.
This is what happens when parents don't teach their kids the word, NO! Everone in this country is concerned about their "Rights." But they don't stop to realize that their "Rights" end where another persons "Rights" begin.
I have the same type of trouble at work everyday. The crew I work with insists on playing soft rock bubblegum music and having the volume loud enough so the radio can be heard in every corner of the department. I hate soft rock bubblegum music so I go and turn it down. They go and turn it up, I turn it down again. If they set the volume so they could hear it at their work station but I can't hear it at mine there wouldn't be a problem. But NO! Have to have it turned up. I asked them why they keep doing it when they know it bugs me. Reply, I have more seniority than you and I'll do what I want. Granted it's off the topic of "Water Rage" but it's the same type of attitude. [:(] |

| Oh Yea Mr. Calibrated Eyeball, I was atleast 16 yards away
not 15!! If you would have walked to the other end of your
boat it may have been farther!!!!LOL!
Just kidding Bill! Knowing you I'm surprized that I didn't hear your comments two counties away! |

| Gee, and I was one of the only guys who said he didn't like talking to people on the water. This is a prime example of why. You never know what kind of idiots you'll wind up talking to or what they'll do.

| How right you are FP! The facility I'm at insists on "beach music", a sadistic form of easy disco where freaks gather in the box section + pretend they are 20 yrs younger...to say I don't ride them like a circus pony would be an understatement! Once a week they all go to Valley Pointe + mingle w/ the yups + preps then spend the next 3 days in ignorant bliss from shagging + drinking from plastic cups w/ their little finger extended...+ don't worry about straying from the subject; the ability to have well rounded topics on this board has insured its survival for yrs to come! No wonder the Postal service is icing over![;)] |

| Spongey: Oh the trials and tribualations of working for the P.O.! The crap from management isn't bad enough so your fellow craft workers have to pile it higher and deeper.
But back to my main point. The major problem is a lack of respect for others. Common courtsey is a thing of the past. The hippies may have been to stoned to get anything done; but at least they had the right idea, love one another and take care of each other. Then came the yuppies and the ME generation. Get all I can for me and to heck with you. It's been downhill ever since. I blame Reagan. Ok so I'm a liberal...shoot me![;)] |

| Fishpoop,
I blame Jimmy Carter! As for the double parked Caster,I would have gone to his up wind side, turned the kill switch on and cranked the 225 E.F.I. so we have lots of 2-stroke Oil in the clynders, then start her up with lots of great smoke and make three close quarter hi speed circles around his boat. Then stop directly infront of him and ask if he just had a follow and start casting again! | It's times like that where Deviled Eggs and Jerky from the night before come in handy, just get up wind first[:knockout:] |

| I vote for Capt. Larry's approach.
Just SMOKE 'em out.....[:praise:]

| I have to admit that I like Cpt. Larrys idea! LOL best thing I have heard of in along time. |

|
| I HAVE A MUCH BETTER IDEA!!! But work duties aside....I would have just made sure that he could see just how close to his rig I could land a Mag Dawg. At 15ft. I figure I could get it within about a foot of his trolling motor. A very loud "sorry" usually gives him the point. If he DOESN'T move on, I would ask him if he minds....and if he wants to fish this close he can go as a "follow boat" for say, $100 for the day? Sounds fair to me!
