| Fished Kinkaid this weekend with my dad. Fished on Friday with Chad Cain-put 7 in the boat, biggest was 45 that I don't have a pic of yet. Also missed a couple of fish. Fished Saturday for several hours. Lost one fish at the boat and decided to call it a day kind of early. While my dad was getting the truck I made a couple of casts with a new curly sue. Sure enough I nailed a 41". Probably my first and last last-cast musky.

Location: Kronenwetter, WI | Congrats on a nice last cast fish! Confusious say, "Another last cast musky shall grace your net yet this season". Last season I announced, "last cast" to my partner in July and sure enough a nice 44 ate it. Thought it would never happen to begin with then afterwards figured it would never happen again. Fast forward to September...raining wife complaining, dark.."last cast" I announced...sure 'nuff a 37 visited my net....keep announcing 'last cast'...so confusious say.

Location: Home of the 2016 World Series Champion Cubs | does last sucker in the water count? Fishing with two guys in the boat and we had all of 6 suckers in the water late fall. We decide to call it a day and start pulling them in one by one. As number 5 is heaved over the side, I reach for #6 and hear ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GAME ON. 45" tiger. Too cool. My buds went 0/6 that day (single hook rigs back in the day) Yours truely....1/1 guess who was using quick set rigs? YOU BETCHA! I learned that lesson long ago. Glad to see that it has really caught on regardless of conservation law.

| The rattle bait bite was going strong. At the end of march I'd try rattle baits, but also small twitch baits and glide baits. |

Location: McGuire AFB, NJ | Matt,
I'd love to offer some advice but I got hosed two days straight lol. I do belive I was at a dis-advantage due to the there being like 5 great guides teaching bout 20 boats how to fish the lake (musky road rules). At least thats what I told myself! But choosing to go in the middle of the week is a great choice~! paul ice was hot and the rattle bite was on. ( so i was told) lol. good luck! |
