| I have a stupid question. I have never hired a guide but have been giving it some thought since I consider myself a "rookie" in the musky fishing game. When a guide lists a price for a half day or full day for that matter, is that price per person or split by two people if there are two in the boat with the guide? Say it is $200 for half day. Two people with the guide. Is that $400 total or $200? Told you it was a stupid question. |

Location: Otsego, MN | You would split it so $400 for a full day would cost you $200 with you and a buddy. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Yep. I charge $375 a day, and that's for one /two anglers. I think most Muskie Guides operate that way. |

| Thanks for the response. Better save that pocket change, grab a buddy and get some guide time in to shorten up the learning curve. |

| it is well worth the money if you get the right guide
what area are you going to be fishing? |

| I take the family up on the Chippewa Flowage every summer for vacation but have also been up on Lake Tomahawk a couple times and Big Arb once. Really liked Lake Tomahawk. Have had fish on both on the Chip and Lake Tom but have yet to get one in the boat for a picture. |

| You picked a great place to musky fish! Around there you have a ton of great guide choices. Scott Kieper and Ty Sennett would be your best bet for that area in my opinion. Both are very professional and catch tons of monster fish. Also they would be very helpful teaching you how to become a better musky fisherman. |

Yep...do your homework. Hire a guide that you will gain alot from. If you've never fished open water suspended fish that might be a way to go instead of hiring someone who would be able to show you stuff you already know. |

| Hi
All my prices can be split with a buddy.
Remember you get what you pay for. Alot of new guides out there under cutting prices.
We tied into several nice ones into the high thirty pound range last year.
Had a true 50 pounder going last summer from one of the hosts of BJ Outdoors show. Last time in the same area he boated a 40 pounder.
Big fish do school together at times.

You say $375 for 12 anglers??? Let's see 375/12 = $31.25. One question Mr Worrall, Just how big are those Tuffys these days???? |

Location: WI | I fished the Chip with Tanner last summer and caught 2 muskies with him, a 40 and a 43.5. I highly recommend either him or Ty Sennett. I'm hoping to get out with one of those guys this summer again if I can scrounge up enough change for it. |

| If you get Scotty don't go with out a couple cans of red bull or the biggest can of monster energy drink you can find!...And sleep for days before you go, he will fish you till you weep! |

Location: Watertown, MN | No one has mentioned Dave Dorazio, he grew up on the Chip and I am sure you will have a blast with him, just don't forget you rods in the truck, he might even let you fish with "evil", but bring you swimsuit, Dave and Ty would be my first choice couldn't go wrong with either, both are excellent guides. I wish they would grow up though, there is a scary trend over there.

| yup mine is 300 per day for up to 2 people.
its just simply too dangerous to have more in a 19ft. boat.
i rarely fish when i guide 2 people. always up to clients and i usually throw just a few casts or give lessons.

| can't go wrong with either tanner or ty on the flowage
i have fished with tanner on the flowage and on the river
one of the best out there and he will put you on fish
another plus is he is multi-species too
always puts some nice 'eyes in the boat too
as mentioned before scott k doesn't do the flowage
