The former Heckel's marina in Eagle River will open May 1 under new ownership as Eagle River Marine.
The owners of Track Side, a local dealer in snowmobiles, ATVs, boats, docks and lifts, have leased the marina from Skipper Marine Holdings Inc., which bought the property out of receivership in January.
Financially troubled Heckel's sought to reorganize in bankruptcy court last summer, but the case turned into a liquidation, with most of the business' assets sold through receivership, a state court proceeding similar to bankruptcy.
