| How is the quality of the Abu Garcia BCX ? Will they hold up to a musky? I noticed they are quite a bit cheaper than the C3's and C4's. |

Location: Bloomington, IL | Yes they will. I have one and no problems with it at all.
As far as I know and have been told, it's basically a C3 (same # of ball bearings, drag, gearing/gear ratio - 5.3:1), just is a different color and has a thumbar instead of a push button. Probably not the best reel to use with double 10s, but is fine for smaller bucktails, small/medium cranks, gliders/jerkbs, and topwaters.
Abu has a couple of models or so that are made for retailers like WalMart. I STAND CORRECTED, I SEE THE BCX IS SOLD AT CABELAS AND BASS PRO NOW TOO. The Abu makes the 5600CB and 6600CB reels for Cabelas. These are basically C4 reels, just red in color.

| I just picked one up to give it a try. Looks alot like my Aurora that I use on the outside and inside except it is red. It feels nice. Can't wait for the ice to melt and the weather to warm. Ready to get out fishing rather than wasting any more time at some of these rip off shows! |

| anyone looking at these, check out ffo tackle, they have 6600 models, refurbed for 38 bucks. I got 2 and they look pretty much new. |

| Not sure of the comment that the BCX is made for Walmart as they are sold all over including Cabelas and Bass Pro. JMO though. |

The ones made for Walmart are designated by a 'L' being added such as 5500CL3 so you were right in there's a difference in reel numbers for chinamart but the ol' memory got the best of ya.....happens to me way to often..
