Location: North Canton, Ohio 44720 | I have read of guys using light wire treble hooks. Are they strong enough for the toothy beasts and if so, what is a good one to use? Thanks for the input.

| I use the short and long shank mustad light wire hooks. I get better hook penetration, less fish lost. I have never had one straighten except for in the net when the net gets hooked and the fish thrashes. IMHO light wire hooks are easier on the fish especially for the release process. As for fighting, I freespool alot which is probably a better technique for fighting muskies with these hooks. | |
