Water is cold, fish are secure beneath the ice. No signs of jet skis or water skiers. Beware of the Village Idiots.

dont listen to mike, he must be bored. late april can tricky but we dont have ice then.. . all i can say is go slow and use smaller tails and cranks. and use suckers also .. i always use suckers until the temps reach 60 or so then they are gone till fall. alot of big fish can be caught at this time. the state record was caught april 1st

How is Webster coming along? These warmer days and less snow have to be doing SOMEthing to it. Only a little over a month to go for the Ice-Out challunge! I'm READY!!

As much as I'd like to be there, I won't be able to make it. Bring it home for MMA again this year Jim!

You could be hitting right around the spawn going at that time. Could be good or bad, it depends. keep checking to see when the spawn occurs.

Well, last year I bagged a 48.5 pre-spawn there at the end of March. We'll see if lightning will strike twice in the same spot!

Good luck getting that out of him. By the 3rd week in april the fish should be in or about to enter spawn mode and the prespawn bit should be winding down. Last year the temps where running around the low 50's that weekend with the fish starting to spawn. However if you adjust you tacktics there is always a way to catch them. And hey if you want a hand give me a call.

Maybe if there wasn't over 5000 users here..... HAHA!! All I'll say is look for the baitfish. The big girls still have to eat.

Thanks for the update, Curt! Keep them coming. Sounds like we're a couple steps ahead compared to last year, anyways.

Amen to that!!!! Only 4 days and we kick off!!! Also I would love to know what spot you all think I am going to start on? I always just lay out a map the night before and drop something on it. Where ever it land I start. Served me pretty well so far.
