Location: Manitowish Waters WI | has anyone tried the Torium for Muskie, and if yes how did it work. Im most concerned about casting and the line spooling evenly.

Location: Minnesota | they cast really well and move the bait fast. As long as you are paying attention to the line, every so often, it comes in well.

Location: Hugo, MN | This was discussed thoroughly last year on this board, and the concensus was that the Torium performed well, but wasn't as smooth as a Trinidad. Go figure, at half the price you get a reel that isn't as refined. Still gets the job done though.
When I get a high speed reel, I think it will be the Saltist with a levelwind just for the fact that it will be able to handle ripping and twitching, not just straight retrieves. I'm not going to spend four hundred dollars on a reel, ever.
