baldy or others out there...i've not tried power handles yet but i am leaning towards one for one of my lunas. do you think that round design could be any more "comfortable / better" in any way vs. the "standard" type i have seen?

my opinion...they dont look any less comfortable than a "normal" power handle. Possibly even a little more comfortable.

The only concern I may have is that they appear to be hard plastic as opposed to the soft rubber that the Shimano and new Abu power handles are made of. This has never been an issue for me, but it may be for some

if they are plastic or metal, i would not suggest them.......i had a round metal one for a Penn 975 that looked just like these, it was not good in cold/fall/wintery weather at all....put the stock rubber back on on and was much happier..when the metal/plastic ones get wet they are much more slippery/hard to hold on to as opposed to a rubber coated one like the Penns or Shimano power handles....

My guess is the rubber power handles that work on the St. Croix Avids would fit - they are pretty pricy at $30 each but they are nice. I got mine directly from St. Croix.

I really like the abu power handles, especially since they're only around $15. The ones you buy seperate are much better than the power handles that come standard on abus.

the new Abu power handles are rubber with a much larger knob than in the past. they are nice, but you are not going to get the extra leverage like you will with one of these the handles from reelpowerhandles.com

actually the power handle you buy is not drilled like the one you have pictured john. the power handles you purchase separately seem to be less susceptible to bending.

You're absolutely right, I just happen to have one on my desk that I just bought at the Chicago show. The ones I have from last year are the same as well. They are completely solid, but otherwise the same.

BTW.... I don't know if it will help you or not, but I have three other power handles on my desk that are unused from Maina reels. (gold with wood T handles) I haven't the slightest idea what else they'll fit, but if they'll fit what you have I'll be more than happy to send one your way for nothing. I have zero use for them, somebody might as well use them. Might let you see if you'd like a power handle before you shell out the dough.

Sorry for getting away from the original question too. I've never seen the ones you mentioned before, but they look pretty nice.
