Well, I did not get a chance to make it to the Tri Esox show. In a little over 2 weeks we have the Milwaukee Musky Expo. Who's going? What's new that you saw at Tri Esox that is a must have? I have the weekend of Feb 13th off and with the old tax refund coming might just have to pick me up a few things!

Ken, I am looking for a ride on Friday, please contact me if going then.
Then on the way down, I can tell you what you need. PS its going to take more than your tax refund, that I know for sure.

Gerard,
I will be sure to let you know. Not sure if I am going on Friday or if I should check out that swap meet on Saturday. I'll keep in touch.

New Slamr baits will be at the show this year. I guess from the Muskie Inc meeting on Tuesday night the baits look pretty good. A solid plastic with wire-thru construction. I wonder if we can get him to come to the swap meet? It's a good time with good people. I'm looking forward to adding to the arsenial, does any know if Steve Jonesi is going to be down that weekend?

Dang, first time in almost 10 years I won't be going. The weekends don't fall well this year and this is presidents day weekend the first time I can remember this show falling on that weekend and that is my weekend to goto Denver.

Can someone please post the Musky Innovations show colors for the Bulldawgs. I Know what the Pro Dawg looks like, but I want to see the few show colors that are available only at the muskie shows.

Ben I will be hanging out with my kids all weekend. I visit with teachers hang out and embarass them in the classroon, even play in gym class. Then we drive to Denver and do fun stuff. We will definitely do the cliff diving mexican restuarant on colfax and bubba gump schrimp downtown.

This is my first muskie show and the following may be a stupid question but I have to know before I go. Do most of the vendors accept credit cards/bank cards or do I have to go to the bank before hand and withdraw cash?

I show up with cash or I might loose track and go overboard. Also, some of the smaller places/baitmakers may not be able to accept a card so I would bring at least some cash if not all. I'm sure Rollies, Thornes, Guides choice? places like that will accept them, but most of the stuff I get at shows are from the smaller shops, or people that make the baits themselves.

Most of them accept credit/debit cards. There are a few that don't so taking some cash with you would be a good idea. It will cost you $5 or $10 to park and $10 to get in. I'm pretty sure that's what it was last year. I'm excited myself!

I'll be working the Smity Bait booth again this year and just got off the phone with Smity's wife concerning your question. Smity bait will only be taking cash and checks again this year. Thought you'd like to know.

Musky Innovations will be there and we have a full stock of Jimmys. Still if it goes anything like Chicago then you might want to get them sooner rather then later because you never know how long they will last. Also here is the new Pro Dawg colors that someone asked about earlier.

wers4455........I bought one at the Chicago show and it is not any lighter in color than previous dawgs. I think in the picture above, the flash from the camera makes the gold markings give it a lighter look. These baits look great!

Spencer, will the MI booth have the full line of rods? I want a 8'6" rod that will be able to handle dawgs but also work decent for DC-10s. The debate is between the swimbait/jerkbait rod or the super mag. Not throwing mags or pounders so the Monster heavy is out. Which rod should I buy and will you have it in Milwaukee?

I've heard a lot about the Okuma Indurons. However, I thought I read that there was some kind of flaw in the reels that they were fixing yet. Is this accurate? I wanted to pick up an Induron in Milwaukee, thinking that if Okuma is there, they would have the "new" line of Indurons.
Will I be safe and happy purchasing an Induron from the Milwaukee show or should I wait until spring to get my hands on one of the latest redesigned reels. Was there ever a real issue with the Induron in the first place?

Does anyone know of a good little Bar/restaurant near the show? Last year we went on an expediton to find the "Best Burger in Milwaukee" restauarant and only found it by accident. I would like to find something a little closer to the show.

Mama Mia's 85th & Greenfield offers good Italian food nice and greasy if you need a little lube in your reel. There's a bar on the corner of 80th and Greenfield a short walk from the Expo that is good (I can't remember the name), burgers and stuff with a nice selection of brews. 80th and National Ave has the Painted Parrot great fish fry (all you can eat served on a garbage can cover), also has a great nacho's and a Saturday all you can eat crab leg special.

Send me an email if you need more....

SuperDs should be at the Rollie booth too. $11.99 for the Mag SuperD and $10.99 for the Regular. Both have the "Body Lock" internal coil harness, holgraphic eyes, triple split rings, yap yap yap.

Get a lot more lure for your money for a lot less!

Have fun at the show guys!

I am a show rookie, never been to one before, but I plan on hitting Milwaukee this week end.
The Krisco looks like a must have bait along with the Betty, definitely something different to mix things up a little.
Will that net light fit on the handle of a rod, just above the reel?
I do a lot of night trolling and it looks like something I could use pointing up toward my rod tip.
Tight lines.

Another restaurant option for Muskie Show attendees is Crawdaddy's at 6414 W. Greenfield Av. www.crawdaddysrestaurant.com . It is a casual dinning experience with great fish and New Orleans dinning options, and awesome bloody marys!

Stop by the Slammer Crankbait Booth and let me know how you liked Crawdaddy's.
