Location: sw pa | was wondering if these fishfinders work well in rivers? and if they are worth the money? i fish smaller river systems and looking to fish more lakes, and thought the side imaging would be nice in a river to find the channel and see the structure of it. thanks joel

| They are worth it imo. I would get the biggest screen you can afford though. Never had mine on a river so can't help you there. I would be interested to know how the current will affect the clairity of the images. Turbulant water may give you some clouding on the screen but slow, steady current should be fine. I'm just guessing though.
Go to this site and you can get any SI questions answered. It is a site about side imaging. http://www.xumba.scholleco.com/index.php
