Was going to try fishing Razorback near Plum Lake in Vilas County next week. Was just wondering if anyone has been there and what I can expect.

Can email me direct if you don't want to post your "secret squirrel" spots and techniques.

Looking more for your opinions and a starting place than specifics.

Good Luck and Be Safe,
Scott

Hey Scott, I don't know if you have fished Razorback before or not but there are a few spots that will hurt your boat, most are maked with bouys but with are lower water there's a couple that they don't mark that you might be able to tag so be careful. As far as the fishery, it's not what I would consider an action lake but there are some real hawgs out there and it's off the beaten path. Clear water is what makes it tough so pick the right conditions (over-cast or evening) Crank-baits and deeper jerk-baits around the many rock bars and Islands are good choices. Give the deep water a chance also, out ajaicent from the bars fishing suspened. Good Luck.
