| I am in the process of putting a box together of extra hooks, rings, and swivels. What is the best style of hook to get and what brand? Am I missing anything else that should be in this box? If you have any ideas or pictures of accessories you keep in your boat that would be great. I want to get more organized for this year.
Thanks

| I like the VMC 4/0 and 5/0. The 4/0 and 5/0 seem to be a good size for most muskie lures. The VMC hooks do not need to be sharpened....at least, I was told not to sharpen the VMC hooks. Actually, I don't think these old hands could sharpen the VMC hooks any more than they come.
Musky Tackle Online carries some.

They also carry split rings. Although I'm not completely sold on the 3 ring split rings, if you are looking for the best, I'd go with the 3 ring stanless steel split rings.
It helps to carry a good split ring pliers. One can always rob another lure of hooks and split rings.
Swivels depend on what size and usage.
Good luck.

Location: Land of the Musky | If you need any Mustad 3/0 round bend or 6/0 3551 Mustads I have about 10,000 left. I am selling them at my wholesale bulk discount cost. Not making any money on them but I am just happy to not lose any money on them too PM me if you want to buy some. About 50% less than buying at a tackle shop. Also have the Joe Bucher super strong rings in #5 and #7. |

| I like the Eagle Claw 774M in 4/0-5/0 (my favorite). As mentioned above the Bucher rings are great, and I also like the wolverines. The Mustad 3/0 round bend is a good hook, it just seems you really have to touch them up with a file to get them tacky. Other then that, That's a great deal that tacklebooty is offering.

Location: Oshkosh | I am curious what everyone thinks about the new Musky Innovations hooks. I have some of them and think that they seem like a good hook. Just wondering what everyone else thinks of them.
