French vs. Metro lake

Subject: French vs. Metro lake


I'm planning to go musky fishing this Sunday to either French Lake or a metro lake. Has anybody heard good fishing reports from either? If so let me know. You can either post here or if you don't want it to be public information please email me at

Fish on several metro lakes have been moving OK, mostly on the deep weed edges - but getting them to open up has been a bit tougher. A few more days of warm weather will help.

Also, I think there's a metro tournament on Sat. so some of the lakes will probably be getting pounded.

I fished French once last fall and the water level was really low. Could barely get my boat in at the DNR ramp. You might want to call a bait shop down in that area to get an update on the water level before you go.
