| Does every new Dawg come with the jointed harness? Is it just me, or does that take away the ability to make them work the way YOU want them to work... and try different things? I liked the old Dawgs where you could bend them whichever way and get them to do all sorts of cool things.
Can't wait to get the new pounder out on the water for those post spawn/summer females!

Location: Hayward, WI | How did everyone feel about the new Dawgs (rubber primarily, but also components)? From the few things I have heard, they sound pretty good. Do they look like they will hold up pretty well? I've been using only Super Ds and Curley Sues, but might have to give the new Dawgs a try. I'll never give up the Ds and Sues, but am interested in the Dawgs.

| I was impressed considering the plastic is considerably tougher than the old Dawgs. I was pretty shocked to see the new internal harness. It's almost identical to the SuperD harness. I guess the copier was copied on this one...? Either way, I still bought one and plan on using it. |

Location: Indiana | The rubber on the other dawgs is harder too. They felt heavier to me so I put them on the scale. The newer dawgs weigh around an ounce and a hlf heavier on mags and 2 ounces heavier for pounders. I asume it is from the clear coat. Hope they still have the same action. |

Location: SE Wisconsin | What I've noticed on the new pro-dawgs is the slight pull to the side. . . I assume that's what you're talking about REELWISE, relative to the action you want vs the action you get? My personal opinion, as I'm sure it's shared with most of you, is that the dog should be running straight on the sweep, and I'm always reassuring myself this is the case when the bait comes into view at the end of the retrieve. The new rubber is wonderful, and with new splitrings and hooks, I couldn't be happier. . . Just don't like the pro-dawgs action. |

Location: Hayward, WI | The Pro Dawgs have a solid wire front section right? If so, can the front section be bent to tune the action? Or am I wrong, and the whole harness is 7 strand? The Pro Dawg that was posted in the pool clip here seemed to want to favor one side consistently. If the front was solid, maybe it could be tuned a little?

Location: Indiana | I purchased the new mag dawg(non pro) for the reason of being able to bend it but it's not near as flexible as the older style, it has a bend but not as much or easily. Mine also weighed about 2oz more then the older dawgs. |
