Location: On my favorite lake! | What did you think? What did you get? What did you like most? For me it was again a great show, good speakers, a nice number of booths especially with the economy like it is. I got some new simms spinnerbaits, a suspending savage lure, hat , ss shad chromed out. prostrike swimbaits and renewed my muskyhunter subscription. The best part of the show was talking to all the guys I only see at the show or a few times a year. |

Location: Oshkosh | I just got back from my first visit to the Chicago show and thought it was a very good show. I picked up a Tidal Wave, and Top H2O from Lee Lures, WA Weagle, 9in Curly Sue, and one of the new Kriscos from Llungen Tackle. I got to see Lee Tauchen do a seminar and found it to very informative. Had a blast and cant wait for Milwaukee to do it all over again!

Location: Minocqua, WI | Went Friday afternoon/evening with a few friends. If you saw a college-aged dude with a white/red Blackhawks hat with black coat it was me. I'll be honest. The show didn't seem as good as last year as much of it seemed economic-related (less people/booths/sales/etc). Decent turnout though and I'm sure the speakers will make up for it!
Still had good time and it was fun talking with Pete Stoltman and Musky Matt!
Also sat in on MacNair's + Ramsell's presentation. Awesome!
On the buying front, I didn't need anything since I went overboard last year on buying for the amount of fishing I do, but I got a few Savage-Gear baits to aid in my quest for the first 40" Pike from n. Wisconsin, (sorry.. forgot this is a Musky site!) and also got a Compre rod to replace the one that some bastards broke into/stole out of the car back in October in Vilas co.
Major bummer that nobody had Okuma reels there. Looks like I'll order online.
If you can dodge the blizzard and avoid an accident on I-290 or 355, go!

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Great show as always Snow Or Shine! Won a DCG custom in the raffle! My wallet found it's hole but I guess I helped the recession get over it's bite! Met and talked to some good people. Great mounts by Lax. These baits are what put the hole in the pocket! But hopfully some will put fish in the boat this year.

Might I ask what kind of creeper that is with the big orange grub? it sure looks cool, I'd like to get one!
Also, Im assuming the musky mayhem baby girls were at the show... I was wondering if they were selling custom colors?? if so could somone possibly pick one up for me? I will pay for it, if you can that would be great just send me a PM.
Thanks!

Location: Not Where I Want To Be | The show was great. Spent two days at it. Great Baits. Great seminars and Speakers. Found the Lee Tauchen seminar to be very informative. The pool side seminar was neat also. I'm pretty sure my nephew and i could tally up a 8-9 hundred spent at the show alone. What we purchased. Curly sues/ Tidal waves/ Krushers /Kriscos/ Custom 13 Cowgirls/ Bulldawgs Slammers/ Pacemakers/ A bunch of terminal tackle. 2 year subscription to Musky Hunter magazine x 2. Made a attempt to help out as many small business owners and Tackle shops as possible. Without the small business owner this Country would be SOL

How much are those bump boards selling for?
The bump board was 50.00
Good deal on a well made, heavy duty 1/2'' board. They said it floats to. They also come in right and left handed.

Yes it is a smaller version of the creepenstein by Tanner. Similar head with a smaller tail section, awesome in the pool demo. |

| I saw a bucktail in the pool called monster baits. I liked the way they started after the cast and how the ran fast or slow. He "blurped" them on the surface(his word not mine). Unique blades and a few different sizes. I got three to try out this upcoming season. I also met some really cool people who make baits, some fun guys who fish the same lakes, and met resort owners I want to patronize. Best trip by far in four years. |
