| For those that have used them this past year or years, how do you get the line to fill the spool evenly upon retrieve? Do you have to use your thumb to guide the line on the retrieve or is it as simple as pointing the reel at the lure during the retrieve? |

| I dont think you can cast enough line to really cause a problem. I used one of these for a day and really didnt like it but the line was not a problem. You can just turn the rod right or left on retrieve to move where it spools. |

Location: MN | Don't fill the spool all the way, use rounded lines... such as Tuff Line and keep a straight retrieve such as with a bucktail. The line will start packing up on one side if you use these reels for jerking, ripping, twitching, etc... They need constant tension to lay the line down on the reel correctly... sounds like a pain but really isn't when using appropriate baits. I used a Trinidad all last season and the reel is awesome for blades. |

| i used a trinidad 16 with spiderwire invisibraid. basically i just ignored the line going on the reel, and it kinda just works like mak there said.
it's hilariously stupid how fast you can move a double showgirl. |

Location: Elgin IL | I used the Trinidad 12 Reel last season and really liked it.This reel is light and is a real work horse.You have to make sure you aim your reel at your lure when retrieving and your line stays level on the spool. You DO NOT have to thumb your line or watch how its filling on the spool.I have also heard this reel is only good for big blade bucktails.....NOT..... The Trinidad casted Jakes and Depthraiders a mile and reeled in easy and faster than anybody else. 250.00 Make sure you use larger diameter line 100lbs test and do not overfill and yes I would not use for jerk baits and switch baits |
