I'll leave it to Steve Worrall to take a million pictures at the coming Chicago (new products, names and faces), but I usually run around taking a few videos here and there. We will undoubtably talk to as many bait makers as possible about their new lures/gear from the coming year, but I'll put this question to you the viewer: what TOPICAL discussions would you like to see? Below are some examples of what we've done in the past:

Shoot Rick Lax selecting the winner for the Rick Lax Reproductions contest here on MuskieFIRST. Someone has a Lax Reproduction coming from Rick, and that should make someone every happy.

Are you sure you want my ideas?? Here are a few i can say here!
Kids.. We always have some kids at the booth and they are great to talk to and they tell some funny stories about their dad's etc... plus they love picking colors and watching us make lures. one year a kid around 10 or so picked a color llungen-tale and his dad and uncle told him he was crazy... The following year the dad and uncle came back for their own!! stuff like that is what makes it fun..

A complete walk through never realy stoping at each booth just a quick glance of the entire show.

"Babes" of the show ..or best Mustache, etc.. would be fun.

Do some interviews with attendees. Find out where they are from, what lakes they fish, what kind of shopping they are doing, what they hope to get out of the show and seminars and have them talk about there own personal successes.

I second the seminars...Obviously many of us won't be able to make all of these speakers we would like to, it woul dbe cool if possible to catch some on the internet...

If you're gonna search out "best mustache" then you might as well go for the holy grail... best MULLET.

Kidding aside, I'd like to see vid of guys making baits. If memory serves me correctly there is a booth at the show with someone selling muskie/pike flies and I think they made some on the spot. That would be cool, particularly for the guys on here that fly-fish for these critters. Plus, you've got a lot of folks that frequent the Basement Bait Builders forum that would definitely appreciate sort of a how-to or minus the how-to just a video showing how "pros" make bait building an art. I probably spent 15 minutes just watching the guys and gals at the Musky Mayhem booth whip out bait after bait. Keith was too fast for me. Made my head hurt!

We will not be taping the seminars, that isn't the intent of the coverage. The speakers and the Tri Esox Show would all have to sign off on the publication, which is unfortunately not likely.

Im sure Steve worrall will take some pictures of Dales big muskie but I wouldn't mind seeing a video of the fish. I also would love to see some demos of the new lures that are coming out this year.

For those of you looking to see lure demos, take a look at this video of the 2009 Musky Innovations line up. That Titan Tube is going to rock!

Slamr, how about getting a microphone on you so the audio will be as good as the video.
Also, what color muskie decals do you want. It has been way too long to remember what color your boat is. I have Black, Red, White and Chrome Metallic. I'll try to get these sent to you with someone going to the Tri-Esox Show @ Harper College or I'll mail them to you.

Candids are always entertaining. Seminars? Not sure videotaping and re-running that content in an unauthorized fashion would be a very good idea. Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

- Any new features of this years boat models would be cool to see for those who can't make it.
- Dennis Lappen trying to sell a bait to an unsuspecting passerby, now THAT'S entertainment!
- Slamr sitting in whatever booth he's agreed to man this year, looking like he wishes he had a rope
- The pool demo might be interesting depending on who is doing the demo

Esox, finding the best mullet is like finding the best sunset- they're all breathtaking in their own individual ways...

Some one has to actually tune a Suick in the pool, maybe possible, but more likely when we do the Suick hydrophone test.

I dont know if he is going to be there but I remember reading an article that Ty Sennete wrote about tuning a Suick. If he would do a live demo of his article, that would be pretty cool.

Maybe talking to some of the guides and how they are dealing with the great pressures being put on some of the world class fisheries that have become somewhat over clogged with everyone and their uncle throwing hundreds of thousands of baits at the same fish all day everyday. What are they doing different to help increase their succes rates that might help some of us muskiefirster's up our catch ratios, turning followers into bitters, helping to find the spot on the spot, etc...just a thought.
