Need a little help for my 70hp evinrude-from time to time when starting my motor the choke won't come on.So what I end up doing is taking the cover off the motor and by hand turn the choke on then start the motor than turn it off by hand.
Do you think it is a bad ignition or is the choke the culprit????
It's the type where you push in on the key to choke it.
Thanks for any and all help

| Sounds like you need to check connections first, then check the choke. Not totally sure on this, but I think the choke is electric and can go bad, just like any other choke. If you have an electrical tester (the one with the little light on the end of it to ensure current is available) you can narrow down the problem, and make the fix.
