Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | We're so pleased to announce the 9th annual Chicago Muskie Swap Meet, sponsored by Okuma Fishing http://www.okumafishing.com!!! What started as 20 guys bringing some unused lures to a bar to trade has turned into a full on event, with nearly 300 in attendance last year.
Saturday January 10th, starting at 7PM, the Saturday of the Chicago Muskie Show at Harper College is the evening of the event. Though the stated start time is 7PM, understand that though we get a full ballroom of space, the 3 dozen tables to display items on are usually close to full prior to the 7PM. The restaurant downstairs servers good food, the waitresses are always ready to server and there should be a bar open up on the ballroom.
This year's true focus though is on our food drive which will benefit the Elk Grove, IL Food Depository. In the past we have raffled off items to all in attendance, but this year YOU WILL HAVE TO BRING A NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEM IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE RAFFLE. There is no cost to attend, and those without food items are welcome to the swap meet, but we really want to focus this event towards not just a free event where you can get great deals on muskie gear, but also a time that we can give something back to the community. AND, if you bring ten cans/boxes or more you will get 20 tickets! The more you give, the more chances you have of winning! Prizes have also been graciously donated by both Tacklebooty http://www.tackleindustries.com and Muskie Mojo Tackle http://www.muskiemojo.com. If you are a maker of muskie-related tackle or items and you are interested in donating to this cause, please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected].

Location: Southwest Ohio | This will be the first time for the swap meet for me. I guess it will be ok to bring some baits to trade or will I need to register or something like that? What can I expect to see for trade besides baits?
Thanks,
Don |

There is no need to register, just make sure to bring some friends and lots of food for the food drive!
There will be a ton of baits, but there are always rods/reels/line/terminal tackle and the odd misc to be traded for or purchased! |
