Tim asked me to post the 2009 Schedule along with this press release after we got the website updated www.promusky.com

Hey Folks,

Below is the Official Schedule for the 2009 Professional Musky Tournament Trail (PMTT). We usually have the schedule out before now, but we wanted to make sure we had everything finalized and it took longer this year. Everyone at the PMTT is really excited about the 2009 season and locations and will be announcing some new Major Trail Sponsors for the 2009 PMTT season shortly, along with some additional incentive bonus money and additional areas and markets where the PMTT events can be viewed on TV. We are accepting applications now as they have already started to come in for the upcoming season.

The PMTT 2009 schedule is as follows:

Qualifying Events:
April 4th & 5th, 2009 – Cave Run Lake, KY.
May 2nd & 3rd, 2009 – Fox Chain of Lakes, IL.
June 27th & 28th, 2009 – Eagle River Chain, WI.
September 12th & 13th, 2009 – St. Croix River, MN.

World Championship:
October 10th & 11, 2009 - Madison Chain, WI.

We will be updating the PMTT website and News and Announcements page shortly with all of the exciting details and changes for the coming year. We look forward to seeing everyone on the trail in 2009.

Happy Holidays to all and take care,

Tim Widlacki

Madison Chain is a very good choice imo...that time of year should be good. Could be flirting with a good pre turnover bite and there are big fish as well as numbers...Madison chain fish just don't jump into the boat, but it can kick out lots of fish...2003 PMTT had 68 fish, 2007 had 30.
Though there hasn't been a verified 50"er with a pic that we know of, there are upper 40 inch fish caught every year and the size structure of the fish in Madison has been going up every year. 45" size limit is definitely helping.
Great choice imo.

Will the St. Croix River tournament be based out of St. Croix Lake or the actual river?

The Madison chain is a good choice for a tournament. It does not have a lot of true tankers however there is a lot of fish in the low 40's which makes for a good Wisconsin tournament. Also after fishing the PMTT tournament there in 07 I think it’s better suited for a 50 boat championship not a 125 boat qualifier. Over all not a bad choice.

The Madison Chain does have some great fish in it!!! I caught this 49 incher in 2007 while pre-fishing the PMTT on Thursday (would have loved to register this one on Saturday!!!!!). I am excited to see the schedule for this year and looking forward to fishing the PMTT circuit again in 2009!!
