Have fish 2 lakes last weekend, seen a few fish on the Tiger cast chain, before my six year old got bored. He did see his first few follows. I game right to the boat and he stopped the bait and the fish just slowly sank. Weed growth was minimal with water temps in lower 50's. Was on LCO but trolling motor failed on first spot, water temps have jumped to 49 in last week after being as low as 39. Weed growth is just starting on the big lake, I have heard of 1 fish taken by a musky angler, and 1 other 42" by walleye fisherman. A 47" fatty was boat by a walleye guy 2 weeks ago. Sorry for not more info, waiting for the ol Pinpoint to get repaired now.

Good luck

Just got back from Hayward.

Sand Lake - None boated had 12 followers. Slow to no Weeds. Most of our follows came off shallow areas. Site fished a couple 40"s but no luck

Barber - Caught 36" 8 feet on a weed line. 4 other followers but no size.

LCO - Worked 6 fish. Had a 45-48 on and then lost boat side. Had larger follow a little later. Working tops of rock bars. Lake clear 12 - 14 feet visiblity with very scattered weeds.

Could have been better.

I am going to be fishing on Grindstone this weekend. I have not decided how I am going to approach it yet though. Is anyone having any luck?
