I have been messing around trying to stick a bulldawg and a super-d pieces together and neither Mend-It or Hawg-Seekers is working. I have followed directions to a T. Are the two not compatible at all?

Try a torch, I find melting works best.

I have the Mend-It for sale now and tested it on a SuperD I cut the back half of the body off on. It worked well for me. The thing I found out was that you need to apply the Mend-It to both parts, then place them together and leave them alone for about 30-45 minutes. Directions say 5 minutes but my tests failed after 5 minutes. While yes, I do sell the Mend-It and I think it works, I would go with Shaley's "torch" recommendation for fixing a really damaged swimbait. I bought a small torch lighter at Cabelas and it works real well. I like the Mend-It though for fixing a shredded body. Just a few drops on the body and let it sit and its good as new. I have not had as good of luck torching the small cuts in a swimbait. FYI-If you buy Shack Attack swimbaits Andy has the Mend-It on his website too.

Try a soldering iron, heat up both sides and stick it together.

I have melted a tail from a bulldawg on to a Super D and it worked just fine. So, I don't know, maybe you could try torching them together and then put some mend it over the area as well. Then let it sit for a while.

I used the stuff from Shack Attack this year, and it worked really well. As said before, it really does work much better if you do your repairs before you hit the sack for the night and let them set until morning.

It worked on the bait rigs shad and the storm lures I glued back together, but it took more then 5 minutes for the storm baits for sure. I think it is amazing stuff.

I'm not the biggest fan of mend-it, it works ok, but not amazing. Battery operated soldering iron is the easiest and cleanest method. No burned plastic, melts together perfectly, easy to store in the boat and use in almost all conditions.
