| I'm in Ohio and can't find any suckers, is there another option for live bait that I could try? What about trout?

| I am in PA and we are not as blessed either... I am thinking either creek chubs or bullheads. What I do is get a few minnow traps and if you can find a good place that you can throw them (look around on back roads where little streams go under the road and pool on the other side.) I throw 2 traps at once in the same area I have found that they kinda stick to size and the big ones will go into one and the smaller will hit the other. For bullheads, someone mentioned using pvc pipe with a cap on one end, holes drilled in it, and a string on the other attached to a float. leave them in over night and pull them up really quick the next day. I don't use the big suckers even though I would love to. If I can get some 8" ers in the trap I am happy. I am getting chubs that run around 10" so it is better than nothing. next year I am thinking that I am going to get an old horse trough and set up a pond to keep them in...... maby a feux koi pond make the neighbors all wonder why I am keeping such ugly fish then leaving with my "pets" with a rod and reel. | |

| Make sure you check your laws on transporting fish from one waterway to another. | |
