| There are a lot of different jigs that will work for Mogambo or other grub combinations. Kalins makes a number of their own lead headed jigs so do Bait Rigs, Burde, Moore's, J-Mac, and others. You should be able to view all of these on the Rollie & Helen's site:

| There are a lot of good Do-It molds that work well. But if you want to buy jigs, Owners Saltwater Bullet jig is excellent. Model 5148 in 1/2 ounce. The bigger sizes (3/4 and 1) work well with the big Action Plastics 8" Goober Grubs.
That magambo on 1/2 ounce head is very fun. Bluegill, Texas Shad, Dorado, and Rootbeer are my favorites. You never know what you are going to catch. Bass, Pike, Walleye, and yes... Musky. A flippin' rod or a med-heavy spinning rod with 12-14 pound mono works for me. I tie about a 12" single strand (.014) wire leader directly to the jig and then a small swivel on the other end of the wire.

| I'll second the 1/2 oz Owner Saltwater Bullet jig and a magamo grub. One of my favorite combos. I throw mine on a bass flipping stick with a Curado 301, 50lb Cortland Masterbraid and 50 lb Tyger leader. I've caught bass, pike, and muskies on this little rig. 1/2 oz Bait Rigs Esox Cobra jig work well too. |
