I dont have much experience in this, so I may come off like an idiot. I can live with that...

I am in the market for a new prop, and I was given a pretty nice one that a coworker didnt have a use for.

The only problem is it does not match up with the spline on my motor. Can I swap out anything in the prop to make it match up with my motor?

I think I know the answer. It sure doesnt look like it when I look at the prop, but I'm hoping. Wanna make sure before I go out and buy one.

Thanks for the help.

exactly what motor and exactly what prop?

there are some hub kits that can be used to adapt certain props.

take them in to a dealer and ask if they can get something to make them match, much cheaper than getting a whole different prop if it's stainless steel.

Yamaha 115 2-stroke...2000

Not sure about the prop. Didnt have any box or paperwork with it, and there is no marking on it besides the diameter and pitch

Chances are what would need to be replaced is the center of the hub. As Lambeau stated, it may be as simple as switching out a hub kit (like what many after market props have gone to like Michigan props XHS hub systme) If the hub is a pressed in hub, you could take it to a good prop shop and they can re-hub it for you with the correct spline count for your motor.

I do know that many of the Yamaha and Mercury props do interchange since they have 15 splines on the bigger motors. OMC models typically had 13 and I have not had any experience with the bigger Suzi's or Hondas...
