| I have two trolling motors. Both Minn Kota. One I replaced due to not being powerful enough. The new one I just do not like, but need the power. Is it possible to put the motor from the new one, on the frame of the old one. They are both 12 volt units. One is a cable drive, (the one I like) and the other is a power drive (that's the one I don't like). I guess you could say I want to just swap out the lower units. That's where the motors are anyway isn't it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

| I have run both, and it took awhile for me to get used to the Power Drive and Auto Pilot model's foot pad. Give it some time first; I now use the Power Drive Minn Kota exclusively.
If that plain won't work, call Minn Kota and ask for a tech to help you. They are very good with customer service.[:bigsmile:] | |

| Thanks for the tip. This is my second year with the power drive. I hate it!!! I much prefer the cable drive systems. I will call Minn Kota to see what they say.
