| I was wondering if anyone has used and, if so, what they thought of the 2 new snaps on the market called the Quickswirl and FastAttach.

Location: lansing, il | i have used the stringease fastach snaps. if you have a bait with a split ring on it, they can be a little tricky to get on and off. otherwise they were fine. i didnt experience any problems with them at all, however i just cant see switching from a good tried and true stringease stay lock snap. |

| q: what happens when you take a stringease stay-lok and pull toward the end hard enough to straighten it?
a: you get a fastach snap...
i'm guessing this innovation was the result of a lucky "mistake". it's funny how many things actually get invented by accident.

| Hey Guys,
I'll give you all a bit more background on a couple of issues I've encountered a couple of times which sparked me to post the Topic to begin with.
There are two scenarios under which I've lost gliding jerkbaits:
Scenario 1:
=======
Split ring has a small gap due to natural stretching caused by pushing it over a thick eyelet. Semi-opened split ring then works its way through the snap and all of the sudden, while you're pulling, you no longer have a lure!
Current Solution:
-------------------
Try to pay attention to this potential problem and remember to constantly watch for it.
Lures Lost: 1
------------
Scenario 2:
=======
During the course of snapping the bait back and forth, somehow, the snap actually has opened and, once again, all of the suddent, you no longer have a lure!
Current Solution:
-------------------
Try to pay attention to this potential problem and remember to constantly watch for it and hope that if it does happen, you don't lose the lure before you actually get it back in and notice it.
Lures Lost: 1

The above is particularly sickening as one of the baits that I lost was a custom Novak.... OUCH
The above said, my main concern with these new snaps is that the bait, particularly a glider, could works it way through the bend of the wire.
Any thoughts on this? |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | It can't. I can't explain how the snap works, probably best to watch the video or get one and try it out. I used them all summer with zero problems. |

| Hey Steve,
That's the answer I was looking for 
I did watch the video prior to posting the second time but the video mainly focuses on the ease of taking lures off and on with a blurb at the end regarding how it handles the stress of fighting a fish.
It's the glider issue that I was most interested in.
By the way, did you get that compilation I emailed to you earlier this year?
